I loved the cheese they put on top and the meat was perfectly done as far as flavor and quality. Not to bash on their neighbor TJ tacos but when I have had their adobada there are a lot of fat pieces. This place's adobada was perfection and the meat was all meat no fat pieces. My boyfriend had the carne asada burrito which I didn't try but he loved it. I had some leftovers of the nachos and we just threw them in our air fryer and they were delicious yet again. We finished them within 5-8 minutes. We will definitely come back. ”

“ My first experience was an outstanding one, I'll be coming back for sure. When I arrived there was a gentlemen cleaning the walkway out in front. And as I walked in I couldn't help but notice it was really clean inside as well. So it's fair to say this place is clean inside and out. :-) I felt welcomed by the person operating the register as I worked and I also felt welcome by staff that made eye contact with me. I ordered two breakfast burritos with beans and with tax the bill was less than $11. They were also huge, almost too big for one to eat but I managed :-). Probably because they were good. The potato's we're freshly made not from som form of frozen product. And honestly that's what I liked the best. It was real freshly made food. I even saw them frying up the corn chips they taking out to to the guest sitting at the tables. As it goes for small Mexican places in Escondido this is one worth checking out. I don't think you'll be disappoint. ”
“ So let me tell you about my experience at California's #2 : naturally I had to try this one out because I am a loyal regular at their first location n this one is a few blocks from home. So i went in and ordered carne asada fries (to go) and the presentation alone is everything, but the flavors is what really gets u. Idk how they season the meat but it's so savory, just as bomb as the first location n it was good seeing some of the same staff. I love California's, I'll always come back. Try it of you're in the area. Not just your regular taco shop cooking:) ”
